Founders Day Rally

The Founders Day Relay Rally checkpoint at Aldermaston Wharf was well attended by helpers, thank you all. Most riders who called in seemed to be enjoying the day, some stopping off at various checkpoints on the way home from the previous day’s Coventry to Brighton Run. My own bike seized solid, but thankfully it was only the big end bearing.

Mid Week Run

The May mid-week run was to the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum in Calne, Wiltshire, situated off the A4 just passed Avebury. An interesting small museum of just the right size for a mid-week run. A good lunch and a run back via Dennis’s for tea and cakes. Tea was cut short by thunder, which necessitated a quick exit and a ride home in a hailstorm.

Owen Tyler Run

We had nice weather for the Owen Tyler Run, dry and not too hot. 42 entrants pottered around Owen’s favourite Hampshire lanes. Most people had a good day. With three routes to choose from there was something for every type of machine and time afterwards to chat to old friends.

June Events

The next mid-week run to Cogges Manor will be on the 14th June. Meeting at Pangbourne car park.

The Mystery Run on the 25th June will be starting from Pangbourne village car park at 10:00 am sharp.

The next club night will be the Girder Fork Night on Tuesday 27th June

July Events

The July Mid-week run will be on 12th July
